We are an organization of women pilots who all share the same passion for
flight. Started in November 2, 1929 at Curtiss Field, New York, Amelia Earhart
functioned as our first appointed President. Initially, we only had 99
registered charter members hence the name. Now the Ninety-Nines have grown to
over 6000 pilots worldwide.
Our goal is to promote world
fellowship through flight, provide networking and
scholarship opportunities for women and aviation education in the community, and
preserve the unique history of women in aviation. I
would like to invite you to explore our site and learn more of our group. We are
commercial pilots, private pilots, airline pilots, military pilots, astronauts,
bush pilots, mission pilots, and student pilots. We are of varied backgrounds
and are wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters who all love to fly.
We are the Ninety-Nines!
